I have been looking for a “Popular Post” Wordpress plugin such that I can bring the popular posts that I have ever written to my reader. Finally, I have found the great “Popularity Contest” Wordpress plugin.
Why do I want this “Popular Post” wordpress plugin. Well, if you surf around, many high rating blog usually shows their “Popular Post” right on their main page. It allows you to bring the content people likes to read to your reader fast and you can motivate them to read further. People are always curious to find out what other people likes to read, so, they just follow.
I actually found this “Popularity Contest” plugin done by Alexking on JackHumphrey’s Friday traffic report blog. Jack is an expert on traffic generation and traffic building. I like many of his post very much. He has also done a great video review on the “Popularity Contest” wordpress plugin. This plugin is very easy to install, activate it and you are almost ready to use it. There will be a text below each post showing their popularity rating, you can also copy the php code provided onto your sidebar or header files of your theme to display the popular post on your blog immediately. It took me less than 5 minutes to get it set up. Very useful indeed, and I am hoping this plugin will help me to improve the readability of my blog to retain more readers for me.
