Your blog looks the biz and i am sure you will add plenty of great content; i have just upgraded to 2.6 myself i used the automatic update plugin which was a real breeze to use.
The one problem that i have is integrating all the plugins, as you may be aware not all of the plugins work together and do cause a lot of headaches in some templates. It has taken me quite a while just to get used to all the many resources in WordPress but i wouldn’t use any other platform, that being said i do use Blogger just to balance out the choices, and for backup.
I do like the clean layout of your blog and Justin Tadlock does a good job, my template is similar but with a 3 column layout with an ad block. What i have had difficulty with is the RSS feeds i just can’t seem to configure the subscribe by mail box, but i will no doubt get there in the end.

Keep on blogging
