Today is Sunday, I was surfing a bit on some of my favourite blogs to keep myself updated on what’s happening out there in the industry.
Then, I found a post about Google Slapped High Pagerank blog, you know what, the PR of a few big blogs were reduced by 1 PR. They are:
- JohnChow.com – PR6 to PR5
- Statcounter.com – PR9 to PR8
- AndyBeard.eu – PR5 to PR4
- Stanford Daily – PR9 to PR7
- Entrepreneurs Journey – PR6 to PR5
This is the 2nd time John was slapped by Google. The first time was Google took out search term “John Chow” from the SERP 1st page. It was reported that Google is taking action against people who are promoting paid link campaign. Now this is the 2nd time his Pagerank is lowered. John, are you sad? But I doubt he is upset about this because his September earning shot to another new height.
Yaro is affected too this time round. Well, he did post on his blog about this penalty. He said his is upset about this because it affects credibility. But I also saw another post about his September earning, it went up too.
Andy has also confirmed he is also a victim in recent Google action. But was he slapped because the the prominent “PayPerPost” service he is offering?
I am just curious how come Statcounter is also affected. Maybe Google is using this tactic to penalize their Analytics competitor
Well, there seems to be something going on at Google recently, they did not update the Pagerank in Q3 and now they are taking massive action to penalize so many website. Do you think you should stop involving yourself on text link trade or PayPerPost.
Well, login to your web stats to monitor your search engine traffic in the next few days. Pagerank will only affect your search engine traffic from Google, if you are affected, probably you might want to review your earning revenue, if you are not, then forget about Google. Anyway, Pagerank does not pay you but the business pays you, why should you be difficult with the money?
BTW, I have also come across another text link service provider “TextLinkCenter“, they claim to have a method to keep you stay below the link trade radar. And they are FREE, they only link you up between the buyer and seller. If you are afraid of being slapped by Google on your Pagerank but still want to buy and sell links, well, you might want to check out this new site.
Good for them. LOL! Well, google is just flexing its wings and enforce the rules.
I think Google is hypocrite.
Check out this site http://www.gwei.org/index.php and you will notice is it awarded with PR6. But I for one, don’t see any relevance in that site being given PR6.
