Tutorial 3: Wordpress Installation
Installation of Wordpress is fairly straight forward. You can visit http://wordpress.org/download/ and follow the instruction down there to download, unzip, upload the files and install wordpress on your server.
Detailed installation documentation can be found on http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress, and you can install wordpress in just 5 minutes.
You can also download the latest version and you can follow the upgrade procedures to upgrade your wordpress to newer version.
This is the normal wordpress installation. For me, I like to use the CPanel to install Wordpress. I am using HostMonster which offers the CPanel and Fantascisco, you can see the following Fantascisco icons in your CPanel.

Then, click on the Wordpress application, simply fill in the domain or subdomain where you like to have Wordpress installed. The automation script does everything for you. You can also use Fantastico to upgrade your Wordpress as well. It is time saving and that’s why I like them.
So, it is your choice to use the method you are comfortable with. I recommend Fantascisco and I recommend HostMonster hosting because it offers unlimited domain, huge space, high bandwidth and many SQL DB.
The problem with my hosting is that the WP on Fantastico is never updated. It’s still version 2.2 while version 2.3.3 is available on the net
