It has come to the final week of Oct 2007. It was a week of Hate & Love for many website owners or bloggers.
Google demoted pagerank on many reputable blog
Firstly, Google did a 2nd pagerank adjustment middle of the week. Many of the highly reputable blogs were slapped by this Google move. Many bloggers believes the result was a consequent of text link sales.
It created lots of Hate towards Google while many argued that Google is not trustworthy and we should not rely on Google.
Google updated pagerank
Cheers… Finally, Google did an update to the pagerank after 6 months waiting. Many sites saw an increase on the greenbar and they were all awarded with pagerank after so much hardwork. Not only, many of the website which was penalized by Google had their pagerank restored. This has created an overall joy on the whole internet community. People now Love Google.
What is Google Doing?
Many people has been speculating what is Google doing and what is their motive? Until now, there isn’t a clear and conclusive reason behind this hate and love week by Google. Ultimately, most people believes that Google is doing this to send a clear signal against text link sales and manipulation on the search result.
My take is: Focus on your contents and Google will love you.
